About Us

Building Better Soil.  Building Stronger Communities.

My name is Mike Forostoski, and my wife Lacey and I founded AquaLoch with a simple belief: healthy soil is the foundation of everything that grows. Whether it's a residential lawn, a community landscape, a commercial property, or an agricultural operation, the long-term health of any ecosystem begins below the surface. My passion for the outdoors started early as an Eagle Scout who spent countless hours exploring the woods, building forts, and learning about the natural world. That passion evolved into a fascination with soil science after a high school Environmental Science class opened my eyes to the critical role soil plays in both environmental and human health.  Thank you, Mrs. Linda Charpentier!

I later earned a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, commissioned into the United States Air Force, and built a career handling complex problems in cyberspace where precision, reliability, and systems thinking are essential. Along the way, I became an inventor and entrepreneur, but I continually found myself returning to the same realization: many of the challenges facing landscapes, agriculture, and water management originate below the surface. Compacted soils, declining organic matter, poor biological activity, weak nutrient cycling, and inefficient water use often drive visible problems that people try to solve with more fertilizer, more water, or more enhancement products. I believed there had to be a better way—and that belief led to the creation of AquaLoch.

Today, AquaLoch applies science-based soil optimization practices that improve the biological, chemical, and physical function of soil to support healthier ecosystems, stronger plant growth, improved water efficiency, and long-term resilience. Our commitment to innovation has resulted in one patented technology and another patent-pending technology focused on soil health, water management, and environmental sustainability.  What began as a local mission has grown into a broader effort to develop scalable technologies and methodologies for residential, commercial, municipal, and agricultural applications. We are actively working to bring AquaLoch's soil optimization solutions to new markets across the United States and around the world.

While engineering and science shape how I approach problems, faith and family are what drive me. Lacey and I have built AquaLoch alongside an incredible team of family and friends while raising four amazing children. Everything we do is guided by the values of faith, service, stewardship, innovation, and integrity. We don't believe in miracle products or one-size-fits-all solutions. We believe in understanding the problem, applying sound science, measuring progress, and building lasting results. At AquaLoch, our philosophy is simple:

Build | Optimize | Thrive—because good things grow from good soil.
